Economou is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, the Writers Guild, Producers Guild, and Film Editors Guild. MEET LAGFF'S SHELLY PAPADOPOULOS
 Shelly Papadopoulos, LAGFF Director of Finance, Administration and Grants, has been involved with Los Angeles Greek Film Festival since its inception, and is excited to see how it has evolved into a premier event in 6 short years. "To see our efforts give way to the resurgence and success of Greek cinema is exciting," says Shelly. At LAGFF, Shelly has worked in various capacities. This year, she handles the finances, administrative tasks and grant writing. While working as an administrator in a law firm, Shelly also devotes her time to serve as president of the Greek Heritage Society of Southern California and is Executive Producer of "The Promise of Tomorrow 1940-1960," part 2 of a documentary series about the Greeks of Southern California.
