MEET LAGFF FILMMAKER LIAISON AND HOSPITALITY COORDINATOR
EleniEleni Arvaniti, LAGFF Filmmaker Liaison and Hospitality Coordinator, joined LAGFF four years ago and has been an integral part of the team ever since.  Her fluency in both English and Greek, and her professional acumen in Project Management and Event Planning lend very well to her dual role as LAGFF's Filmmaker Liaison and Hospitality Coordinator.  Eleni's warm personality, hospitable nature and welcoming smile allow out-of-town filmmakers and special guests under her care to feel at home in Los Angeles.

Eleni assists visiting filmmakers with their travel arrangements, accommodations, transportation needs, ticketing, guest lists, and other logistical details.  She is also their point person prior to and throughout the festival, keeping the filmmakers abreast of all events, screening schedules, and other festival activities.

Outside of the festival, Eleni is very active in the Greek community.  She also volunteers for and supports a number of organizations that resonate her love of her culture and passion for the arts.

To contact Eleni, please writer to her at eleni@lagreekfilmfestival.org.

"ATTENBERG" OPENS IN LOS ANGELES
Greece's Official entry for the Academy Awards, ATTENBERG is a wonderfully deadpan, surprisingly touching coming of-age story. 23-year-old Marina (Ariane Labed) lives in a small, factory town by the sea where she passes her time watching Sir David Attenborough's nature programs, listening to the proto-punk songs of Suicide, goofing with her only friend Bella (Evangelia Randou), and tending to her ailing father (Vangelis Mourikis). When a visiting engineer (Oscar-nominated Dogtooth director Yorgos Lanthimos) comes to town, the two form a tentative relationship that pushes Marina into contact with the strange and complex world of adulthood. Critically acclaimed, ATTENBERG is a sincere and humorous look at life's defining moments.
95 Minutes. In Greek with English Subtitles. Not Rated
