Following the screening of PELICAN'S WATCH, there will be live entertainment and wine-tasting of some of Santorini's and Greece's top wines, at XIV across the street from the Theater.

brings Americana Blues to the Greek Rembetiko stage through a musical odyssey into the past, featuring Louis Skoby on bouzouki and visiting Greek-Cypriot singer Martha Demitri Lewis. In anticipation of the screening of MY SWEET CANARY on Friday, June 10, 7:15 p.m., Martha D. Lewis will sing a few songs by Roza Eskenazy. MY SWEET CANARY director Roy Sher will be in attendance.

Ron Dziubla: Saxophonist/multi-instrumentalist/composer is a world class musician who has toured, scored, and recorded with artists as diverse as rock and roll hall of fame member Duane Eddy, Ricky Martin, Royal Crown Revue, Los Straitjackets, and many more.
 

R.J. Ronquillo: Guitarist extraordinaire has toured and recorded with rock, pop, and R&B legends such as Ricky Martin, Stevie Wonder, and Santana, and has played the blues alone as Lonesome Joesph.
 

Kevin Stevens:  Drummer/percussionist of the highest caliber has appeared on tour, on TV, and in the studio with the likes of Shakira, Neon Neon, Minnie Driver, Miranda Lee Richards and his own band, Brass Monkey Brass Band. 
 
Louis Skoby: Bouzouki player of the finest authentic order since 1979, made appearances on NYPD Blue, Full House, and the Drew Carey show while bringing traditional Greek music to the Southland with Hellenic Sounds.

The party offers wines from several wineries from Santorini, featuring some of the best wines of Greece.

CLOSING NIGHT STREET CLOSURES

CLOSURESDue to the Gay Pride Parade, traffic will be closed on Santa Monica Boulevard between Fairfax Avenue and Doheny Drive starting at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 12.

 

Santa Monica Blvd. will re-open immediately at the end of the end of the Parade, which may be as late as 4:00 p.m.

 

To attend either Laemmle's screenings or Closing Night at the Writers Guild Theater on Sunday, June 12, avoid Santa Monica Blvd between Fairfax and Doheny Drive.
