"Twenty-nine percent of central Ohioans seeking food from the Mid-Ohio Foodbank have had to choose between paying for food or shelter.
An amazing forty-four percent have had to make an agonizing choice between food and utilities.
And many of our neighbors seeking help at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank have jobs and go to work everyday.
That's just scary.
 After learning about our neighbors' struggles to simply put food on the table, I committed The Basement Doctor organization to getting involved in the fight against hunger here in our community. " |

- The Basement Doctor's Home Improvement Center is being used as a collection point for non-perishable food donations.

About the Mid-Ohio Food Bank: For nearly 30 years, they've been working with grocers, food companies, Ohio farmers, the USDA, and community partners to obtain and distribute food to more than 500 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, after-school programs, and senior housing sites across central and eastern Ohio.
