Residential Hotel Ordinance
After two long years, the
draft of the Residential Hotel Ordinance has finally been released and the next hearing on
the ordinance will be held in the HCED next Wednesday, April 16th
at 8:30am, City Hall Room 1010.
The Residential Hotel Ordinance is an important piece of
legislation protecting residential hotels - the housing of last resort for many
people - from being demolished or converted to condominiums. Passing a
strong ordinance has been a main part of our platform around preserving the
affordable homes we already have. We are asking you to come in solidarity
and/or to give testimony in support of the ordinance with
recommendations.
Stay tuned for more updates and an
upcoming Residential Hotel Ordinance hearing in front of the full City Council, we need your support to get this passed.
