Hey Lake Forest!
Contrary to popular American individualistic belief, no person can survive and thrive without the healthy influence of others encouraging and shaping us. "Widen the Circle" is our new, three-week series which will explore friendship and mentoring. The Bible has a lot to say to us about the wisdom of widening the circle of our life to include helpful friends, and how to do it successfully. Hope in a House of Blues: Lamentations is coming Sunday, October 11. Check out our two national-level blues artists who will bookend the series at www.hopeinahouseofblues.com. Thank you for the widespread affirmation of the decision to switch our Worship times to 8:00, 9:30 & 11am beginning September 27. Based upon early registration, If you have children under the age of 12, it will serve others and the mission of our church if you can choose either the 8am or 11am service in which to regularly worship. Your fan, Mike Moses purplepastor.org |
ON SEPTEMBER 27 OUR SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE TIMES WILL CHANGE TO 8am, 9:30am &11am
" More and better followers of Jesus," that's our mission. This time change creates the potential for us to reach up to 450 'more' people with the grace of Christ on a Sunday morning in our current 3.5 year old facility. Thank you for moving with us to be even better stewards of the place and people God has given us. Read more about the time change.

Many Hands Many Feet Prepare to Serve in India
For the first time ever, Lake Forest is sending a mission team to India. We would love for you to actively send these 10 missionaries through gifts of prayer and finances (write "Mission Trip" in check's memo line). They leave October 3 and will spend 2 weeks caring for orphans and the sick in rural villages near Kalimpong. Visit the Missio Dei blog to learn more about the team and each missionary. We will partner in India with long-time friend of LFC: Pastor Nandu Gurung. Pastor Nandu led the first church LFC ever planted and he continues to plant churches in rural India, educate their pastors, and run an orphanage. Learn more about his ministry on the Missio Dei display in the lobby.
