Monterey Regional Airport - New Airport Signs
The name of the airport was officially changed on September 14, 2011 to Monterey Regional Airport from Monterey Peninsula Airport . The original airport signage was replaced this week.
Calling it the Peninsula airport "is too limiting" said Mary Ann Leffel, Airport Board Chair. The new name is "a signification start" to let passengers and potentional passengers know about the airport. The airport serves all of Monterey County and parts of neighboring counties.
The airport code still remains MRY.

Be at the American Eagle Ticket Counter for check in at least 45- minutes before flight time.
Beginning Thursday, May 24th, Allegiant began flying four flights a week to Las Vegas - Sunday, Monday, Thursday & Friday, thru July 30th.
Book non-stop service to Honolulu! Weekly service begins on Friday, November 16. The 757 flights with 223 seats arrive from Honolulu at 3:00 p.m. and depart for Honolulu at 4:15 p.m. Take the inaugural flight and spend Thanksgiving in Hawaii.
Allegiant tickets can be purchased in our terminal at the American Airlines counter at no additional cost one hour after an Allegiant flight departs. Please check the flight schedule before coming to the airport. Ticketing times are subject to changes.
Allegiant is now "cashless" at all airport locations. This means the ticket counter representatives will no longer accept cash for any transactions (ticket sales, baggage fees, etc).
Tickets may be purchased online at the Allegiant website www.allegiant.com or by calling 702-505-8888 for a small fee.

American Eagle Airlines is the regional partner of American Airlines and a member of the OneWorld alliance. American Eagle operates a fleet of over 280 aircraft. Delta Air Lines - Travelers may purchase Delta Air Lines tickets departing from MRY to destinations worldwide. The MRY-LAX segment of the Delta ticket is flown on American Eagle. In LAX passengers continuing on to other destinations are transferred by bus from American Eagle's terminal to Delta's Terminal 5.
