Greetings!
Wow, November...really? It does go by so fast. Also, it goes by day by day and really breath by breath. I am often amazed by the fluidity of it all. The flow of life itself and how we evolve on a daily basis. That flow, that evolution is a liberty and a challenge. It means that every day we change, as I say in class everyday, we are weaker or stronger, tighter or longer and everyday we choose. One of the hardest things about being a martial artist is that no matter how many years you train once you stop you are no longer a martial artist, same thing goes for yoga and anything else. I am also a musician and even though I have a decade or two of practice under my belt if I stop playing within a short time songs fade and chords get messy. The same goes for being a father, friend or spouse, it takes that daily commitment and effort. You see it is that effort that begins to define who and what you are.
First and foremost the fluidity of life is a liberty, an amazing freedom and it means you can be anything you want to be.So each day, take the reigns and point the direction of change in your life. Where do you want to go and what do you want to be?

APY Flow Program Filmed!
30 days to Flow through your life!
 A big thanks goes out to Whitney, Bill, Stephanie and Leah for serving as the talent in my latest DVD project. I have partnered with the very talented Doug Davis of D2 Studios to produce a APY Flow Class and 30 day program designed to take regular practitioners to the next level practice in class and in life.
Now comes the fun part of editing and scoring the piece. Look out for a January release!

APY's Flow Classes Added I have never been a fan and
the name "level 2" Right away it quantifies a practice that I don't
believe can be quantified. And as soon as something is quantified competition comes
in to play. So to avoid that, I offer the APY Flow class, which is a more fluid
presentation of our typical Open Level class. It will come with less basic
instruction, offering you more time to focus and breathe. Transitions will flow
a little faster, offering you the ability to dive deeper into the poses and
into the moment. The classes are for practitioners familiar with APY (or power
yoga in general) who are looking for a challenge. As always, YOU set the
intensity and happiness is accepting strengths and weaknesses equally. This
class also allows the teacher to explore things like themed class such as Dark
classes or Rocking classes.

Flow Classes and Workshops in Austin!
Kurt flows to Black Swan Yoga in Austin Dec 5th and 6th
"Going with the flow doesn't mean blowing in the wind."
Going with the flow means in a yoga class means riding your
breath threw each pose and bringing lightness to your practice. Outside of a
yoga studio going with the flow means that you are following the flow of your
passion, your heart and of your life.
Dec. 5th 3pm to 5pm APY Flow Workshop In this workshop Kurt will share techniques
to help you develop the strength to flow through the physical challenges of a
class and then share many of the same techniques he has used for years to help
his instructors flow through the challenges of their lives. This workshop will include a float and flow pose
workshop, an American Power Yoga Flow Class and a Flow through your life 21 day
challenge.

Dec. 6th 3pm to 5pm Guiding the Flow, Instructors Only Workshop
The Guiding the Flow workshop is designed to assist all yoga
instructors regardless of style to improve their abilities focus and harness their
own energy and to connect and affect their students. You will be given powerful techniques to improve your physical and energetic constitution, awareness practices as well as practical tips to being more a more effective teacher. "I pull from my 7,600
teaching hours, 40 hours hosting television and 6 DVD projects to share all the
tricks of the education and communication trade. I believe there are many paths
to the same place and I just want to help you share yours the most effective
way possible."

Coming Up! In December look for: "Silent Sitting" classes on Sundays from 11:15 - 11:45 a.m. with Jayme. This half hour guided meditati on class will give you a chance to sit still and connect. Great for those familiar and unfamiliar with meditation. You will cultivate clarity and focus, peace of mind, and relieve stress. Class is by donation through the month of December for those who do not have an unlimited monthly membership.
