 When the animals we love die, the sense of emptiness from their physical absence can be devastating. Yet, the connection between souls is not severed at physical death. Where they has been great love, the connection remains as real and full as it was when two beings were on earth together.
The connection of our souls, the love we exchange, does not end with death. It remains active, not just a treasured history from our time together on earth, but a continuing active exchange of love and communication. Love never dies. It is bigger than pain and bigger than death.

No matter how much emotional pain there may be of grief, when we connect in love, the heaviness of grief in us is diminished. It's power to devastate us is lessened. And we are more free to support our animals and ourselves as we grieve.
Communicating with our animals after death doesn't eliminate the pain of grief which is a natural response to loss we must all learn to heal. But a loving connection with the souls of our animals on the other side can diminish the suffering of grief, and bring the energies of grace, comfort and peace to our hearts.
