Gifts for the Whales
This beautiful stained glass piece was created by artist and trip participant Maasa Craig. She was inspired to name it "The Gift" in honor of the gift giving ritual of this trip. In return for the privilege of being with the whales in their ocean home, just as we as humans often bring a gift of flowers or food to someone's home when we are a visitor, participants are invited to bring a biodegradable gift of nature that has special meaning. Some bring shells, stones, crystals, leaves, flowers, or the fur and whiskers from their animals at home. Others bring poems, or a song to sing to the whales, or commmit to a prayer or healing practice for the whales.

The sheer magnificence of these great whales, the unique and breathtaking beauty of these gentle giants, helps us define the wonder and glory of all life. And their gentle acceptance of small creatures like ourselves teaches us that power need not be aggressive.

Opening Meditation

During our first evening together, we create a mandala with the gifts we have brought for the whales, sharing the stories or meaning behind the gifts, then dropping them into the ocean for the whales later in the week. The sharing and giving of these gifts is often a moving and touching process. Sometimes, during our morning meditation circle when someone offers their gift into the ocean, whales come to the boat, acknowledging the gift and thrilling us all.

Dear Clients and Friends,
I am delighted to announce my 11th trip to swim and communicate with the North Atlantic Humpback Whales in the Carribbean. This is a magical opportunity to live at sea for a week and join the whales in the water in an atmosphere of great love, sacredness, and joy.
I believe that we all have particular animals and species who impact us the most, who directly speak to and touch our souls. The whales have touched my life in this way for almost twenty years. I am enormously grateful, for both their strong spiritual presence and guidance in my life, and for the privilege of bringing other humans to join them in their ocean home.
If thinking of being with the whales in the water stirs your soul, I hope you will join us on this journey.
Wishing you and your animal and human loved ones many blessings,
Namaste' Teresa

Join us for an awe inspiring opportunity to be in the water with the world's most gentle and powerful teachers. Feel the profound exchange of love and trust as humpback mothers bring their calves to swim and twirl next to you in the water.
