  May 2012

What was that sound? Huh, it must have been Spring tearing by. As we try and catch our breath, we see through the pollen and grass clippings that the new books are all here and shipping and that Fall production is in high gear.

Oh, are you going to BookExpo America in New York? We are. Come by and visit us at Booth #2958, or set a meeting. Would love to see you.

Guilty much?

In the words of a teen reader:

Guilty as charged.

Leslie goes viral...
We keep hearing from people about what a difference our books make to readers lives - especially those striving to become lifelong learners. And we thought we would like to see it, as well as hear it. So we are running a video contest. Leslie Bootle, our in-house marketing maven, put together a little video. Watch it here.
Here's the pitch:
  • create a short  (30 to 45 second) video about an experience with our books and a struggling reader;
  • or, have a reader tell the world what a difference a book made in their life;
  • email the video to videocontest@orcabook.com;
  • win $100 in free books and eternal Internet infamy;
  • Come on, work with me, people.
  • And...ACTION!

Problems sending the video? Email videocontest@orcabook.com
