(We considered staging a Hunger Games-type competition to pick a winner but the authors preferred to wait for the announcement on May 12, 2012.)

All Good Children, a teen novel by Catherine Austen has been selected for the shortlist of the 2012 Canadian Library Association Young Adult Book Award.
The winner will be announced later this year and the award presented at the annual CLA conference in Ottawa on May 31st.

On the road again...
 Orca Soundings titles in Spanish made an appearance in the Dominican Republic this past month. Author Margriet Ruurs was in the country and graciously took along some books for local students. Nice to see the books venturing abroad. Nothing like travel to broaden one's mind! |
