Fantastic Resonse
A fantastic response over the first few days of Euro 2012 and, I'm expecting to introduce a further 5,000 new and unique visitors to the sports pages today for the France v England match.
It doesn't sound like a lot but, these are real numbers, not exaggerated from visitors searching sites for other information or accidental hits.
These are highly targeted visitors and and most WILL be watching the match with their friends in a pub or bar tonight.
I want to make sure they visit a venue listed on the Network.

Remember the match is at 5pm and on terrestrial so you can catch a lot of people leaving work who can't get home in time.
Also, many users will be searching on behalf of friends and groups, that could be the equivalent of 20,000 + people driven into pubs listed across the Network and, out of pubs not listing their matches. @ £10 per head that's £200,000 at least.
This does not include the bookings we've already driven into pubs over the past couple of months - like one tonight, which is a corporate booking for around 150 guests in a Central London Bar.

We've been working hard over the past few months, doing what we know best - Search Engine Optimisation. Google have completely re-hashed their Algorithm over the past few months and continue to keep updating it. It's time consuming keeping up, but for the Euro, I think we've nailed it.
Example: For the England v France match tonight, the Network is very well positioned and almost always in the top 3 of Google Search Results for the search terms targeted.

That means- if you've updated - with almost zero effort and almost zero cost, you are listed - via the Network - at the top of Google.
It's almost impossible to get your own - stand-alone - website to that position consistently without great expediture and a lot of luck, and even then, probably not. Google now demand so much more than a splattering of keywords.
It's the same with function room hire where the Network also dominate many top search terms which YOU can take advantage of - ONLY IF YOU UPDATE.
