Tip of The Day:

 

Is this your first year competing in the Regatta? Here are a few pre-race tips for first timers:

 

1. Try not to get overwhelmed by your supporters - focus on your race

2. It's ok to be a little nervous - the adrenaline gives you energy.

3. Bring a wrench in the boat in case an adjustment is required.

4. Make sure your oar locks are tight - you don't want your oar popping out during the race.

5. Get to your boat early - you don't want to be rushed to the start line.

Crew Numbers Are Up!

 

The Regatta Committee is pleased to announce that we now have 105 crews registered for the 2012 Royal St.John's Regatta.
Out of Town Regattas 

 

Heading to the Placentia or Harbour Grace Regattas over the next two weeks?
Here are some take aways: 

 

1.Guage your opponents that you will be competing against on Regatta.

2.Practice your race plan including your start, turn and finish.

3.Get experience with starting 'under the gun'.
4.Have fun!
