Happy April Friends!
I heard a poem years ago that proclaimed, "It is April and I can see!" From the pastel shades of spring's rebirth to the vibrant colors of sunny daffodils and regal irises, to the rich reds and burgundies of juicy strawberries and crimson roses, April is a glorious time of year for visual gifts. All of the senses are showered with blessings, with not only what you can see, but those you can smell, taste and listen to, as well. As the Finches, Mockingbirds, Carolina wrens and Robins bring you good tidings as they whistle their cheerful songs, may you relish the gifts for all your senses this April and 'Taste and see the Lord is good.'

R. Landry's New Orleans Cafe'

"The Belle of the Bayou"
Even Justin Wilson would have
given western Arkansas' premier Cajun café kudos for their spot on Creole cooking. R. Landry's New Orleans Café, located in historic downtown Ft. Smith, Arkansas,
will have you believing you're down in the low country sampling some old Cajun's recipes that were handed down by his or her ancestors.
Don't be mistaken though; the closest thing to a bayou near this spicy little restaurant is the Arkansas River, and it's moving too fast to let you sit a spell and enjoy Landry's many offerings. Read More

It's strawberry picking season at Wild Things Farm, and in our next issue we'll take you there. We'll also be visiting the Southern Belle Restaurant in southeast Oklahoma, where Mrs. Debbie is cooking up some scrumptious strawberry desserts in this delightful railcar restaurant on wheels. Next issue I'll also share some of my favorite yummy strawberry dessert recipes.
