A note from the superintendent...

On Saturday morning, I had the privilege of hearing Mr. Jamie Vollmer speak at the Georgia School Boards and Georgia School Superintendents Associations' Annual Meeting.  He spoke primarly about the fact that "schools cannot do it alone" which happens to be the title of his most recent book.  He also reviewed a small portion of a list he has created identifying how much has been added to curriculum since the early 1900s to the present.  Many items on his list are critical to ensuring all students have appropriate educational opportunities.  If interested, google Mr. Vollmer to find the list.

What do you see as the essentials the Monroe County Board of Education needs to consider for the education of boys and girls in Monroe County Schools?  If you would like to respond to my question, click on my name highlighted in blue below to email me your thoughts.

 Respectfully submitted,

Anthony Pack

Superintendent
