North Bay Celiacs News

May 2012

Greetings!

May is Celiac Disease Awareness Month!
This is a great month to take action and support the cause. Jump in right now from your computer, or shop or dine...
We make it easy, satisfying and delicious to contribute!
Labeling for Gluten in Drugs
is in Congress - Speak up NOW!
Go to the American Celiac Disease Alliance and ask your member of Congress to support

the Gluten In Medication Identification Act. I just went to that page, customized my letter and sent it off to my representative automatically. It's fast and free!

Thanks to the Celiac Disease Foundation for the alert!
Please support us in the Human Race

We are exactly half way to our $1,000 goal!

So far, less than 3% of our 340 members have donated - please show your support!

Two ways to Shop and Donate
 at Whole Foods
Whole Foods
Shop at Whole Foods in Los Altos on May 30th! The store has generously chosen the Celiac Community Foundation of Northern California (that's us!) as the recipient for its Community Giving Day. That means that 5% of the day's net sales will go to support our mission!

Shop at Whole Foods in Napa through June!

The Napa Whole Foods has selected our local Camp Celiac as the beneficiary of their Nickels for Nonprofits program for the months of April-June. When you shop at Whole Foods in Napa and bring your own bags you can donate your 5 cents per bag to Camp Celiac. It adds up!!! Please remember to bring your bags and contribute to this great cause! Camp Celiac is free for campers thanks to the generosity of The Taylor Family Foundation and many community institutions, businesses and individuals.

 Thank you, Whole Foods!

Sincerely,

 Jennifer
