Asian Box is a hit

My gluten-free colleague and I had the opportunity to try the new 100% GF Asian Box restaurant in Palo Alto. The food was very delicious, super fresh, fast, healthy and well-priced. What more could you ask for? (A parking space.) I hope they open more of these in the Bay Area!

Zest Bakery
zest bakeryWe also stopped by the 100% gluten-free Zest Bakery in San Carlos. Excellent sweet and savory baked goods, a cute little place with very nice staff.

"What's in that?"
How many times have you asked that about a dish at an event? And how many times have you scrawled a little sign that says "gluten-free" and wished it looked as nice as your baked good?

Tablelabels, a new local product, is great for clearly and elegantly labeling food at potlucks, parties and other events.

Shop and donate

The Napa Whole Foods has selected our local Camp Celiac as the beneficiary of their Nickels for Nonprofits program for the months of April-June. When you shop at Whole Foods in Napa and bring your own bags you can donate your 5 cents per bag to Camp Celiac. It adds up!!! Please remember to bring your bags and contribute to this great cause! Camp Celiac is free for campers thanks to the generosity of The Taylor Family Foundation and many community institutions, businesses and individuals. Thanks to Whole Foods in Napa and thanks to Amy Burkhart, MD, for organizing this effort!

Sincerely,

 Jennifer
