Greeneville Goes Hollywood!

The Greeneville/Greene County economy got a real boost last week with the arrival of more than 75 film
crew members who were working on a national Buick commercial starring Peyton Manning. Crew members started arriving as early as Tuesday, June 19, and many remained until the following Monday, filling one local hotel and reserving 15 rooms at another. The "trickle down" effect on the economy came from their patronizing local restaurants and retailers, but also from the fact that numerous local residents served as "extras" and production assistants for the filming. In addition, the crew utilized services of numerous local businesses, including caterers, car dealers and medical personnel. The Partnership staff worked closely with the film crew to assist in organizational efforts. Visit the GreenevilleSun.com for more info.
