Tourism's ARC Press Launch Held At Andrew Johnson Early Home |  |
The Tourism Department, along with the National Park Service, hosted more than 50 elected officials and tourism professionals August 3 on the lawn of the Andrew Johnson Early Home for the Tennessee press launch of the new "Civil War: The Home Front" map produced by the Appalachian Regional Commission. Tourism Commissioner Susan Whitaker, Dr. Carroll Van West, the executive director of the Center for Historic Preservation at MTSU, Earl F. Gohl, federal co-chair of the ARC and Edwin Grosvenor, CEO and editor-in-chief with American Heritage Publishing were in attendance. These maps are available at the Partnership office or at the Andrew Johnson Visitor Center and are also available as an interactive feature online at www.visitappalachia.com. |
