From day-one, Wal-Mart Distribution has been heavily involved in financial, material and labor contributions to the relief effort. From fulfilling emergency orders of water, propane, flashlights, batteries, tarps and numerous other items to associates working in the devastated areas and at the collection sites and donating televisions to fundraisers, the associates have fulfilled many needs and continue to serve in needed areas. In addition, Wal-Mart continues to maintain contact with approximately two dozen of their own associates, a few of which lost family members, to ensure their needs are being met. The Partnership has also been notified that American Greetings has donated $10,500 to the local Red Cross and is collecting money to help their own associates who were impacted.  In addition, Nolichucky View Golf Club realized more than $1,500 in their Disaster Relief Golf Day when all greens and cart fees, as well as a couple of private donations, were collected to donate to Tornado Relief TShirtsthe relief fund. David Brooks Builders is selling t-shirts with all proceeds going to the tornado victims in our area.  The shirts come in sizes youth small to 4X.  David and Holly Brooks will deliver all orders.
