Easter Seals Project ACTION Webinar on Connecting CILs and Mobility Managers for Accessible Transportation
For the past two years, Easter Seals Project ACTION has partnered with the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL) and the Association of Programs for Rural Independent Living (APRIL) to implement a program to strengthen the link between the disability community and the growing Mobility Management field. Through the MMIL program, staff from Centers for Independent Living (CILs) and Mobility Managers came together to strengthen relationships between their groups and raise awareness of the issues facing people with disabilities as they seek transportation solutions.
This Webinar will provide attendees with an overview of the MMIL program. It will be an opportunity to share information about the strategies that helped establish and grow strong relationships between the partners. Presenters will offer suggestions for ways the MMIL program can be replicated by CILs across the country, and a stronger connection between the Independent Living movement and Mobility Managers be fostered. This webinar will take place on Feb. 29, 2012. Fore more information and to register, click here.
