Who can believe we are already in April!

 

We hope April has started well for everyone and May follows bringing you all great health, happiness and yoga love. 

 

Big news is Cristine Roberts has joined the teaching team here at Bikram Yoga Brisbane. From Chicago in the USA - Cristine was here recently in Feburary with the world champions tour & competed at the US nationals. Cristine is a strong motivating teacher who has taught for Bikram in India in addition to many other studios around the world.

Say hello and introduce yourself to Cristine next time your in.

Other happy news is the birth of Archer Lees. Archer is the son of Benn Lees and Madeline Blackman, co-owers of Bikram Yoga The Gabba. Congratulations Guys!

SAMANTHA JOLLY

Sam Jolly has been a student at Bikram Yoga Brisbane since 2006. Sam has a strong concentrated practice which inspires us all every day. 
Sam has undertaken many 60 day challanges at the studio and holds the studio record for the longest running challenge 100 days solid. (also current holder of the 'Fastest Transition to Savasana' record)



STACEY COE

Stacey joined the yoga family in Feburary 2010. 
For those who don't know Stacey's name is actually Stacey "I eat 60 day challenges for breakfast" Coe.  
Stacey is currently completeing her 3rd 60 day challenge and has plans to start a 120 day challenge before she goes away for 6 months.  FYI Stacey is off to Chile and has already scouted out the studio is Santiago!


BRAD ESBENSEN

After trying to walk out of his first class
 (unsucessfully...we stopped him :) ) Brad made the conscious decison to 'change his mind', finish the class and come back everday on his introductory offer.
 
 Brad, along with his wife Catherine, completed a 30 day challange. After completing their challenge both Brad and  Catherine still come every day.

Awkard Pose- Utkatasana

 

 

Key Points

- Keep your knees 6 inches apart in the first and second parts of the posture.

- Arms MUST be parallel to the floor.

- Keep your five fingers together (no crazy fingers!).

- Keep your stomach sucked in.

- Aligns skeletal system.

- Helps cure slipped disk in lower spine.

- Increases blood circulation in knees, ankles and toes.

-Helps relieves Rheumatism and Artharitus.
