Web Scale (Cloud Computing)
OCLC and LYRASIS will host a free all-day workshop designed to help libraries better understand how Web scale is changing cooperative library services. At the workshop, attendees will discuss ideas with experts, colleagues and early adopters, discover the benefits of moving library services to Web scale and learn practical tips on how to fit Web scale into a long-term strategy. (Workshop locations are also available outside Pennsylvania). FREE

Margaret E. Monroe Library Adult Services Award Nominations are being sought by the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) of the American Library Association (ALA) for this award which is presented to a librarian who has made significant contributions to library adult services. The individual may be a practicing librarian, a library and information science researcher or educator, or a retired librarian who has brought distinction to the profession's understanding and practice or services for adults.
