Curriculum Night, 9/13
All Lakeview parents are invited to Curriculum Night on Thursday, 9/13. This is a parent only event as we are not able to provide child care. Come hear Principal Rothaus share information about new programs for this year. During the PTSA General Meeting, the board will seek approval for the 2012-2013 budget. The link to the budget can be found here. The schedule for the evening follows:

Lakeview SpiritwearIt's time to buy your 2012-2013 Lakeview Spiritwear! All orders are online. Choose from short sleeved t-shirts, long sleeved t-shirts, hooded sweatshirts and full zip sweatshirts. Available in youth and adult unisex sizes. Orders must be completed by Friday, 9/28. For order instructions, go to www.proimagesportswear.com/shop. Click on "Register" to set up an account. Use the authorization code "lakeview". Once registered, there will be a link to "Lakeview Elementary" under Stores in the upper left side. Click on the link to access the store. A note about youth hoodies: Numbered sizes on the manufacturers size chart do not correspond with shirt sizes or ages of students. Order at least one size larger than your student's shirt size. (For example: if your student normally wears a size 10 shirt, order at least the youth large sweatshirt). If your student likes sweatshirts long and loose, order two sizes up.

Menchies Frozen Yogurt Fundraiser
The first ever fundraiser with Menchies Frozen Yogurt begins Saturday, 9/15 and runs thru Saturday, 9/22. Anyone who brings in a flyer qualifies 20% of their purchase to be donated to the Lakeview PTSA. Flyers will be available at Curriculum night. Tell your friends, family and neighbors and enjoy some tasty frozen yogurt while supporting Lakeview at the same time! Before and After School Enrichment ClassesA registration form will be sent home with your student on Friday, 9/7. Forms are due back by Friday, 9/14. You will see some old favorites and some new classes. Extra forms will be available in the foyer next to the front office. Classes fill quickly and are filled on a first come basis. Get your forms in early! Also, if you would like to support our scholarship fund for Lakeview students, please mark the box on your form and add a few dollars to the tuition check you write for your student. The impact and difference you will be making for a child in your community is immense. There are PTSA scholarships available for students. LWSD Volunteers
The LWSD requires all individuals volunteering in the classroom, at school events, and/or on field trips to complete a Volunteer Application. All volunteers must go through an application process including a background check through the Washington State Patrol. Parents of students may apply online through Parent Access on the LWSD website or through the standard paper application. Applications are available in the school office. The application process can take up to 2 weeks. Volunteer approvals are valid for 2 school years.

Do love to cook or bake? We are looking for helpers to provide the Lakeview staff with periodic breakfasts and/or lunches throughout the school year.
