PTSA General Meeting, 6/14
The Lakeview PTSA General Meeting will be held in the gymnasium on Thursday, 6/14 from 6:30-7:30pm. A review and vote will be taken on the 2012-2013 budget. Please consider attending this meeting and learn how next year's programs will be supported.

Golden Acorn Award Presented To Jenny CarlsonEach year the Lakeview PTSA gives the Golden Acorn Award to a volunteer who has given outstanding service to all the children in our school community. This year's award was presented to Jenny Carlson at the Volunteer Tea. As part of the award her name has been added to the Golden Acorn plaque in the school entryway and a $65 donation was made to the Washington State PTA Financial Grant program in her name.
Jenny plays a huge role as a volunteer for the Lakeview community. She is the person you go to when you need something done and you need it done well! Jenny prefers to be in the background leaving most people unaware of her outstanding contributions to our school including: PTSA Board Member 2009-2011; Silent Auction 2010, 2011; Spiritwear 2010-2012; Yearbook 2012; School Carnival Games Chair 2008-present. Jenny is a valuable asset to our school and truly takes the good of the community to heart. Thank you for all you do!

Yearbook Information
The Lakeview 2011-2012 Yearbooks are here! Books will be distributed to students who pre-purchased them during the week of 6/11. If you did not pre-purchase a yearbook, a limited quantity are for sale for $20 each (cash or check only). Yearbooks will be on sale in the school lobby before school (8:45am to 9:05am) and after school (3:30pm to 3:50pm; 2:00pm to 2:20pm Wednesday) from Monday, 6/18 to Friday, 6/22, and during lunch recesses on Tuesday, 6/19 and Thursday, 6/21.

Thank You Volunteers!
A big shout out to all the wonderful volunteers who helped me with the Birthday BBQ last week. It was a huge success and a lot of fun! As always, these events can't happen with out you! Thank you!

Art Walk Volunteers: Thank You!
Lakeview's "Dive into Art" Art Walk was held on 6/6! Thanks to all who attended the Art Walk to see the fantastic creations from our student artists. Thank you fabulous Art docents and Art assistants for a wonderful year full of art and creativity. Our program is awesome because of you. We welcome all parents who are interested in art or love being in the classroom to join our art program in the fall.
