Science Fair Needs Volunteers The 6th annual Lakeview Science Fair will be on Thursday, 4/19 and we still need many volunteers to make it run smoothly.
Food and Beverage: One volunteer needed to lead/organize and 2-4 volunteers to assist (5-7pm).
Judges: Our science fair is a big event this year. There are 7 judges so far but we could use 10 more. You don't have to be a scientist to be a judge at the science fair (5-7pm).
Set-up: Three additional volunteers needed to help students set up their presentations (1:45 - 2:30pm).
Clean-up: Three volunteers needed (7-7:30pm).
If you can help out or have questions, please contact Rainer at rainer.huber@comcast.net.

Used Book Fair At Lakeview Library
Thursday, 4/19 and Friday, 4/20, Lakeview will hold the first Used Book Fair. While proceeds will benefit the library budget, it should be a fun community service event. Let's incorporate the other 3 R's: reduce, reuse and recycle with all those books that your own family has enjoyed, but are ready to replace with newer titles. Families interested in donating used books should bring them to your child's classroom or directly to the library on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday this coming week. Volunteers will sort and organize them for the sale. The sale will take place in the library before and after school, as well as lunch recesses on Thursday and Friday (4/19 and 4/20) and during the evening of the Science Fair.
So scour those bookcases, closets and even under the beds! This is your chance to help a worthy cause and encourage your children to "trade up" for books of their current level and interests.
Accepted materials: Books (adult & children), DVDs, eductational CDs, computer games and electronic games.
Please DO NOT send VHS tapes, textbooks, manuals, used coloring books, magazines or encyclopedias.
Contact Sarah Jensen (sajensen@lwsd.org), Lakeview's Librarian, with questions, or if you are able to volunteer to help make this event possible.
