Dear Lakeview Families and Friends, It is hard to believe that we are already into December! We have had nearly three months of school days filled with learning and I am impressed by the dedication of teachers, students, and families for the hard work of continued learning. I see students and teachers working tirelessly to do their best in reading, writing, math, science, music, physical education, and other areas as well. I would like to extend a note of gratitude to all of Lakeview for their contributions toward Winter Wishes this year. It is very impressive to see all of the families who have reached out to support those who would benefit from the love and care of our wonderful community! Your support provides these families with the opportunity to have a memorable holiday season. Thank you! The students of Lakeview benefit significantly from the generosity of our wonderful PTSA! Through the support of PTSA, our students are able to enjoy learning enrichment opportunities such as the recent purchase of IXL Math, field trips, and classroom materials to enhance instruction. A primary PTSA fundraiser, the Silent Auction on February 11th, is coming up quickly. We would like to invite all families to consider contributing in some form to this great event! In January there will be more information outlining a variety of ways that each family member can contribute to the auction such as donating a talent for use in the auction or purchasing an item at the event. Items might include "Master Gardener For A Day"-from someone who loves gardening or is in fact a Master Gardener, or "An Afternoon Tea Basket"-a basket of baked goods and tea from someone who has a passion for baking. We encourage your creativity to shine on behalf of the students of Lakeview! An additional way to support our school is through the use of many on-line vendors which provide a percentage of the purchase back to Lakeview!
