Family Dance Night

Ice Skating Fundraiser
Come celebrate the holidays and support Lakeview PTSA by ice skating at the Bellevue Magic Season Ice Arena Friday, 11/25 to Friday,12/16 and Tuesday, 1/ 3 to Sunday, 1/8 (excluding Mondays). Admission is $10 per person including skate rental. Notify the rink staff that you are affiliated with Lakeview Elementaryand $3 of your admission goes directly to the PTSA! Volunteers for PTSA Nominating Committee
The PTSA is seeking members for this year's nominating committee, the people who will have the greatest influence on our PTSA's future. The role of the nominating committee is to identify candidates for next year's PTSA Executive Board (President/VP/Secretary/Treasurer). Details are available on the Washington State PTA website. We hope to have our nominating committee in place before the end of the year, allowing them time to attend a brief district training session in January. Room Parents Needed
Do you have a student in one of these classes: Fraley/Hasty (2nd), Evangelisto (2nd), Adams (4th), Boradori (4th), or Coebergh (6th)? We are looking for room parents for these classes, to be our main PTSA liason. In addition to helping the teacher, the room parent also helps coordinate the classroom teacher appreciation week activities. The time demand is quite low (less than an hour per week) and the position is key for providing great PTSA support to our wonderful staff. Winter Wishes Begins
This is an opportunity to give to those in need in our community during the holiday season. Gift tags labeled with a gift "wish" will be available at school beginning Monday, 11/21 and at Family Dance Night tonight, 11/18. Purchase the gift and return it unwrapped to school. LWPTSA Basket Auction
Each year, the LWPTA Council offers more than $12,000 in scholarships to high school seniors and teachers within the school district. Besides the $100 donations made by each local unit, the annual basket auction is the only fundraiser we have to generate the remaining scholarship funds.
Beginning in November, baskets will be on display in the lobby of the LWSD Resource Center. Silent auction bidding begins Thursday, 11/3 and will be open for the entire month. The final auction bidding will take place after the December council meeting on Thursday, 12/1 at 10:00am.
