AMF Kid's FIRST NEWSLETTER
And AMF Kid is a child whose life is impacted by the ministry of the American Missionary Fellowship!  There are two types of AMF Kids.  Those we reach in our ministries and those in our missionary families!

This is the first edition of the AMF Kid's newsletter!  We've filled it with lots of great stuff that we hope will encourage, educate and equip those who minister to children!  (We hope everyone else enjoys it too!)
P.S. This is also the unveiling of the new AMF Kid's Logo!
Summer Game Ideas
water Coming up with new and fun games every year for summer camp and VBS can be challenging!  A great resource for summer games is available at an unusual place!  NBC has a new show on television called "Minute to Win It".  Contestants play 10, one minute, games to try to win a million dollars!  These games are simple, use common items and are really fun!  Check out www.nbc.com/minute-to-win-it/ and you will find about 50 games with instructions and videos that you can put together easily!  You might even consider a "Minute to Win It" theme at your camp this summer!
Looking Ahead with AMFKIDS!
We are in the process of developing an AMF Kid's website. Kids will enjoy fun activities and videos, work on discipleship lessons and be kept up to date on AMF events for kids.  It will also include a special section for AMF Missionary Kids.  We have submitted a grant proposal and are hoping to hear the outcome by the end of this month!  Please be in prayer for us that we would receive the needed funds to complete this project!  It will be a great tool for ministering to all AMF Kids!
Resource Review!
What's in the Bible Many people have enjoyed using the "Veggie Tales" videos in their ministries since Phil Vischer began producing them in 1993.  Phil is still involved in producing Veggie Tales but he has another new project that is currently in production that will become an awesome resource for kid's ministers and familes alike!  This new project is called "What's in the Bible".  It is a series of 13 videos that uses wacky puppet characters, fun music and well thought out lessons that take kids on a great educational adventure through the 66 books that make up the Word of God.

As a seminary graduate I'm a bit embarassed to tell you that I learned a lot from watching these videos (hopefully I just re-remembered a lot).  I also laughed and was entertained in the process!  That's a win-win situation in my book!  Homeschool, Sunday School, kid's church, Bible camp and any place you can gather a group of kids or families together are appropriate places for "What's in the Bible".  Two videos have been released and another is on it's way.  Check your local Christian Book store or www.whatsinthebible.com for your copy!  Volumes 1,2 and 3 are now available!
AMF Kids is a ministry of the American Missionary Fellowship whose goal is to equip servants of Jesus Christ to reach the unreached in the United States of America.  For more information on how you can be a part of AMF contact us today at www.amfmission.org.

See you next month!
