"The Happening"
Many of you know our local summer resident, Jon Lindner, but you may not know him as his alias, Jonny Mogambo, who performs with his band known as the Jonny Mogambo Band. Jon will be appearing solo for our event, and is known for his high-energy funky rock grooves, playing a variety of crowd favorites. A review by The Beachside Resident notes, " He's also known for getting everyone - both young and old - involved in his shows, which revolve around classics and great takes on tunes most everyone will recognize. He draws on influences from funk, rock n' roll, blues, and bluegrass, along with some Motown, soul, ska and reggae thrown in". We know we're in for a treat, and if you'd like more information on Jon, check out his website where you can catch a sample of some of his music.

As Jon puts it, "Everyone loves music. Whether you play it or just love to listen and dance, we all can relate to it. Music transcends all that is happening today and takes us all to a better place. When I feel that connection with the audience, I know that's why we all came together." It's going to be "A Happening" at Grow Benzie, Saturday July 16. |
