Back by popular demand, "The Happening". We hope you've marked your calendars for July 16 because you can expect another not to be missed evening. This year we're having two of our own region's culinary artists be our guest chefs- Eric Patterson and Jennifer Blakeslee of The Cooks' House in Traverse City.

Known for using local sustainable products from the farmers and artisans who call Northern Michigan home, they have continuously proven how much more delicious food can be when it comes straight from your local farms and gardens- a thought not "undear" to our hearts.
We've enlisted the help of world class mixologist Mark Stoddard of the Bitter Bar and Happy in Boulder Colorado to mix up divine drinks that will add sparkle to any festivity, but especially to ours. Mark is an award winning "mixologist", having won the 42Below Cocktail World Cup held in New Zealand 3 months ago (also putting him in the Guinness Book of World Records). Just think of the treats in store from Mark.

And mixing up everything will be Jon Lindner, aka Jonny Mogambo, of the summer local Lindner family, who has a big following here in the area. Jon lives and performs with his band Jonny Mogambo at Pepes and Finnegan's Wake in Vail during the ski season and is much in demand throughout the US performing during the rest of the year.

More to come in the following weeks as we dance our way to the event. By the way, lookout for the "Dancing Ladies". We hear they are really stepping out! We've got lots to share about food, "mixology", music and auction items so keep coming back.
