Event Update

What to charge and what not to charge - that is the question.  How do you price an event ticket so that you raise money for your cause, give everyone a great value, and keep everyone happy at the same time.  Well, we think we've come up with the answer. Our ticket price is $65 for a two day event.  Included is the Friday night Art Prevue of Melanie Parke and Richard Kooyman's splendid artwork, giving you the first option to buy with the added benefit of 40% of your purchase price being tax deductible.  And no sales tax.  Great value.    Saturday big event day with Hosea Rosenberg, Top Chef extraordinaire presiding over a superb meal, Silent and Live auction with terrific buying opportunities of unique items, and Music by Song of the Lakes.  And the Art Gallery will be open for more perusing and buying, and open again on Sunday.

But here's the best part.  You can buy a table of 10 for $500, making the ticket price just $50 a ticket.   Bring your party to our party.  We only ask that you have one person make the purchase and you take care of giving out the tickets.  Weekend of July 24- Mark your calendar and reserve your tickets now.  Call

 "Touch Me"
When we started Grow Benzie we knew the money would be tough, and the work daunting, but the vision was right  - "Give Children a Chance to be Challenged".

There is a wonderful 2 line refrain in the signature song, "Memories", from Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Cats" - the first line is:

"touch me - it is so easy to leave me...."

Volunteering for children is gratifying- it is a social melting pot, you never know who is working beside you, the Barber, the Lawyer, the Police Chief.... - all you know is everyone cares about children. Volunteering brings people together, it creates social harmony - it breaks down polarization - political, social, racial, but it is easy to avoid as sung in the song. "....so easy to leave me".

The promise of America is "every child gets a healthy start - emotionally and mentally", and we need to fulfill that pledge. We, by our personal involvement, can mentor and inspire children who need and want a second chance, who need hope, who need to be challenged to be all they can be - "touch me....". Grow Benzie can make that happen.

It is a good cause.   Help our Children.

The second line in "Memories" is:

"Touch me,  you will know what happiness is".

July 23 -25th Weekend.
 We need you.
