Spring is here!

Where Is The Money?

Every non profit has the same issue - money and people who are willing to raise money - Grow Benzie is no different - we need both.

After a year of begging and frustration we landed on the "Big Event" - why not have fun raising money? Why not have an event the likes of which has never been held in Benzie County? And besides something that can be done every year - a "calandar marker".

Consistent with our goal of - Growing Healthy Children. it had to center on food.

 Food for thought

Did you know that Benzie County has a disproportionate number of people tied to food and food service and that our region is 4 times more dependent on agriculture than the state as a whole?

Did you know one Benzie county resident owns seven gourmet restaurants out west?

Did you know that  the Top Chef  winner from Season 5 on the cable network Bravo has ties to Benzie County?

Well, there will be food at the "Big Event".  That is a given - And where there is great food there has to be good music - and there will be more - now it is  coming together and what we need next is a great crowd - 350 plus for starters.

Over the next few weeks we will be titillating everyone's interest with more additions to the "Big Event"  but right
now all you need to do now is "block the date" - the weekend of July 24th and start saving your money - two tickets to the Master's for four days??? And more to come.......
