Plant of the Month
hydrangea
Hydrangeas are grown for their massive clusters of flowers produced in summer when few other shrubs are in bloom. Flowers make this plant worthwhile, but it must be planted where it has room and can be kept under control. Read more about this wonderful plant and find out the best place to plant it in your garden here.
Business in the Spotlight This Month

Dads Against Mosquitoes was founded by a "Dad" who wanted to safely protect his family against mosquitoes and their harmful diseases. He was tired of potentially dangerous and ineffective municipal spraying, and having to apply DEET directly on his young children. Our long-lasting, mosquito control products are environmentally friendly, EPA-approved, and safe for people and their pets. It is our goal to protect you, your family, and your customers against mosquitoes and other biting insects all season long!

Greetings!

I'm not sure about you, but every Spring I run into the same problem: Where did my mulch go? With dogs, kids and water runoff, I know where it went - down the drain, into the grass, on the kids shoes....it seems like an endless Spring task. Instead of buying big bags of mulch every Spring, save your bank account some money (and your back some pain!), by reading more about our Mulch Stabilizer!

Best Invention Since The Shovel

mulch in carDoes this picture look familiar? it's either a big pile of mulch to haul, or lots of bags to carry.

Mulch stabilizer is an easy to apply and long lasting liquid (think of it like Elmer's Glue), which is applied with standard spraying equipment on problem areas like:

  • Dog Activity
  • Child Play
  • Water Run Off
  • High Traffic Areas Within Your Yard

It is EPA-compliant and works naturally to bind with mulch and chipped wood fibers. It also creates a durable, yet pliable structure for your landscape and is highly resistant to wind, washouts and erosion.

Creating a tight bond of protection to your mulch, it also resists water degradation and is durable in extreme temperatures.

What You Need To Know:

1. The mulch needs to be dry for at least 24 hours before you apply the mulch stabilizer.

2. Once you apply the mulch stabilizer, please allow a minimum cure time of 30 hours. It's recommended that you stay off the mulch for three to four days to allow the mulch stabilizer to fully cure.

3. This product can't be applied 24 hours after or 48 hours before rainfall, so check your weather forecast!

Results?

You bet! Not only does it enhance the look of the mulch, it keeps it in place which greatly reduces ongoing maintenance cleanup and cost! One application can last up to two - three years!

So, how do you get it? Call Sweeney's Custom Landscaping! They'll come out and measure the amount of mulch you need, and discuss with you the problem areas of your yard for appropriate thickness of mulch required. They'll provide you with a prompt quote (all done electronically so it's a fast and easy process for their customers), and in no time, you'll have mulch that will stay in place!!!
