Greetings!
Indiana in the springtime is a good place to be. Last night I was sipping on an excellent Vanilla Coffee Stout made by one of our homebrewers & thinking about all the great beer & wine samples we've received over the years. Life is good! It is so nice to be able to taste the result of a home brewer's hard work! Speaking of hard work, while I was placing a good sized brewing supply order yesterday my husband was out mushroom hunting. He found 3 pounds! It's the most morels I have ever seen in all my hunting days combined :-) And tonight I am really looking forward to tasting the result of his hard work! As I said, life is good!

Details, Details
| So we do this sale every year, people ask me why. Well, no reason really. We don't have a hard time selling brewing or winemaking supplies. As a matter of fact, it seems we sell the stuff as fast as I can order it. But sometimes it is nice to get a discount on something we would have spent our hard-earned money on anyways! So enough with the blah blah-ing. Here's the sale info!
| All brewing & winemaking supplies are 15% off, with the exception of the following:
- Glass items (carboys, bottles) - 10% off, unless you buy 6 or more cases of new bottles or 6 or more carboys, gallon jugs, growlers, etc. then you will get 15% off your purchase. You can mix or match these items for the higher discount.
- Grain - bulk grain purchases, 50 or 55 pound bags will be 20% off. Get two or more & we'll bump you up to 25% off!!
- The 15% discount will not apply to already reduced items.
- One last detail: The sale applies to any instock our out of stock item. This means, if we have it, you can buy it at the discount during the sale & take it home that day but if we don't have the item in stock, you can buy it at the discounted price during the sale & we will order it in for you.
- Okay, one very last detail. The sale will end, end-of-day Monday, April 25th.

New & New(ish) Stuff
| Stuff you really need!
| We've got some new items to sell you! If you haven't seen these already, check 'em out the next time you're in!
- Twisted Mist Kits from Winexpert -
They are doing this again because last years' Twisted Mist kits were so popular. And now they have added Lime Margarita to their lineup. We have in Strawberry Margarita, Lime Margarita & Mint Mojito. The "Twisted Mist" are limited summer release kits only- so we will most likely not get any more after these sell out.
- Also from Winexpert, we now have a few of their 2011 Limited Edition kits in stock. Pacifica White, Italian Primitivo, Austria Gruner Veltliner & Portuguese Douro Tinto. The whites are $139.95 & the reds are $145.95. The selection limited edition series features a limited number of outstanding unique varieties from around the world that are released annually from January through April. Once they are gone, they are not coming back! So if you want to make one of these kits, get on it!! Click here to go to their description page on Winexpert's site.
- Summer Ale is now available (again) from Brewer's Best! This refreshingly crisp paler ale has some nice citrus notes from lemon & orange peel - & it makes me want to go to the beach with my brew. It is one of their best-selling kits, so don't miss out! Click here to view the recipe.
Belgian Candi Syrups are here & selling well! Check them out if you are making specialty Belgian beers, these are awesome. They sell for $7.00 each. Colors include clear (0 SRM), amber (40 SRM), dark (80 SRM) & dark 2 (100 SRM). Dark is currently out of stock, but we will get more in as soon as its available from our supplier.
- New Keg! New size CO2 tanks! & A few used kegs...
Check these out if you are thinking about kegging your beer, we have refurbished kegs back in stock (most are the shorter coke-style pin lock at $59.95) but we do have one of the refurbished taller pepsi style ball lock kegs left at $69.95. The new 5 gallon corny keg is gorgeous (as you can see from the purty picture on the right), but for those of you, like me, who shop by the right hand side of the menu, you will probably prefer to go with the much less expensive option of refurbished kegs. Refurbished mean the kegs have been cleaned (you still need to sanitize them obviously!) & the o-rings have been changed out with new ones. I am told these kegs are guaranteed to hold pressure. They do, but I would still test it by carbonating some water before actually putting my beer in it.
And check out the image on the left- that is a funky looking refurbished, 7 lb CO2 tank. Yes, 7 pounds. It is tall & skinny & a little tippy, but it will take up less room in your fridge so you have more room for kegs of beer. These tanks sell for just $79.95. (Cheaper than our 5 lb tanks!)
- There are many other things that I don't have room (or time, really) to explain so come on in & see for yourself!
And, yes, all this is included in the 15% off sale prices. |
