EASCP Happening's for MAY  2012                  Welcoming Hannah Janet

Congratulations to Karissa and Nat!

Karissa and Hannah
Hannah Janet - Born May 22nd 9# 15 oz

We looked up the meaning of the name Hannah. In Hebrew, the name Hannah means "Grace of God". I thought that was really fitting as every "Freezer Baby" is born by a miracle, and the Grace of God. The other interesting thing about Hannah's name is that the first ever "Snowflake" baby as they are sometimes called, was also a baby girl named Hannah. Her parents live in Colorado. My husband Jeff heard Dr. Dobson of Focus on the Family interviewing Hannah's mother, Marlene Strege. This was when we first learned about embryo adoption, and their pioneer story, of the first ever adopted embryo baby! Some of you know my husband Jeff and I  also adopted frozen embryos, and we have an eight year old daughter, Elisha. We know how wonderful it is to hold the long awaited baby after a lot of heartache. We are rejoicing today over the birth of Hannah Janet!

Look What the Lord has Done!

Hannah Janet 1

Here she is in Daddy Nat's arms! Hannah is really a beautiful baby, isn't she? I am utterly amazed  that an embryo frozen for several  years, can be born so perfect! She's a miracle girl, and the long awaited daughter for Nat and Karissa's family. We give thanks today too, for the wonderful family that made their embryos

available so this miracle could come to pass.

God bless you, David and Joanne!

Sweet dreams little Hannah, safe in Daddy's arms. I would say

she is looking a lot like Daddy here, a little blondie,

with light blue eyes.  We send our very sincere best wishes and blessings for the new family. Congratulations Nat and Karissa!
