DAI's Got Talent Announced as Creative Team Building Event
| |
At a company lunch on September 20, employees were told they had three weeks to get ready to display their talent! Employee teams were challenged to develop a "product" that demonstrates how DAI's commitment to quality is a competitive edge. The "products" will be presented on October 11 during our semi-annual State of DAI meeting.
DAI's Got Talent is a dynamic team building event which allows six teams, each comprised of seven to eight members from across DAI's practice areas and corporate staff departments, to work together to produce a creative product based on DAI's core values and commitment to quality. Products may be videos, skits, musical numbers, slide shows or anything else that can be presented or performed within allowable resources and the limitations of the meeting facility.
Team products and presentations at the October 11th meeting will be judged by a panel with points awarded for creativity, time management, team participation, overall quality and reflection of DAI values. The winning team will be whisked off the night of the event to celebrate as part of the secret prize.

Employee Volunteers with International Students at Georgetown University
| |
DAI Communications Consultant Theresa Cuddington went "back to school" this fall as a volunteer with the American Friends Program at Georgetown University. The program pairs international students with American volunteers to help them experience American culture and life outside of the university setting.

|
Theresa, a Georgetown alumna, chose to participate in the American Friends program to give back to her alma mater and to connect with people from around the world.
"International students can be in this country for years without truly experiencing American culture," Theresa said. "In fact, nearly 75% of all international students in the U.S. never even see the inside of an American home. The American Friends helps bridge that cultural gap so that students can get a real taste of what life is like in America."
Theresa is paired with an MBA student from Shanghai, China. They communicate regularly and participate in program-sponsored events such as a monument tour, sushi-making night and a game night.
