Planning With Campagna

DAI's support of The Campagna Center has kicked off with the Jeans for Beans program (see past newsletters) raising over $1000 for the Alexandria-based charity. Planning for the rest of 2011 is also progressing, as DAI has outlined specific events the company will support as a whole and identified numerous opportunities for DAI employees to volunteer and/or donate to the cause.

Welcome to the June edition! DAI received some exciting news this month when we were awarded a BPA as part of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) eFAST program. This will give us a fantastic opportunity to pursue work within FAA, and we are thrilled. Also this month, our new office renovation is complete and many of our employees have moved into a gorgeous new space on the fifth floor. This edition also features our expanded recruiting efforts, updates on successful training programs delivered in Orlando and Dallas and more about DAI's work in the community! As always, thank you for supporting the DAI Advisor, and remember, past editions can always be accessed on our archive page.

DAI Awarded FAA eFAST BPA

DAI was awarded a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) to provide services to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as part of the agency's Electronic FAA Accelerated and Simplified Tasks (eFAST) program. eFAST serves as a pool of pre-qualified service providers eligible to compete for available FAA contracting opportunities.

The FAA requires a broad range of comprehensive professional and support services, from training to systems engineering to research and development. Under the terms of this five-year BPA, DAI is eligible to participate in the procurement process for contract awards in the areas of e-learning, Web design and development, event planning, human capital management, marketing/PR, training material development and graphic design. New DAI Office Opens!

New DAI office space
New office space features a cafe and high-tech conference room.

Over the past few months, we've been keeping you updated on the progress of our new expansion to the fifth floor of our building. We're happy to report that the renovation is complete, and DAI employees have moved into the new space. The office looks great, highlighted by a state-of-the-art conference room and welcoming cafe/lunch room overlooking the Potomac.

DAI Conducts Dallas and Orlando Training and Conference Management

DAI's Instructional Design team traveled to Orlando, Florida to help with the roll-out of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) new Talent Management System (TMS). DAI created and delivered an intense, week-long training class aimed at educating VA trainers and subject matter experts on the intricacies of TMS.

DAI
staff also traveled to Dallas to manage two conferences in the last month, the Minority Veterans Program Coordinator conference, designed to promote activities aimed at minority Veterans and the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) National Conference focusing on updates to laws governing EEO hiring practices and new hiring tools.
DAI was responsible for full lifecycle conference support, from designing and managing the conference to developing and delivering a full complement of program materials. Feedback from both events was overwhelmingly positive, and we are looking forward to our next conference with VA in Orlando in July.

Race for the Cure Team Surpasses Goal
Team DAI participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Washington, D.C. on June 4th. DAI runners and walkers took part in this spectacular annual event which attracts tens of thousands of participants and volunteers every year. The DAI team set a fundraising goal of $1500 before the race, and, as of this newsletter writing, has raised $3935! Congrats to all who took part and many thanks for the donations.
