President's Corner
Welcome to the December edition!
Recently we had our holiday potluck luncheon, and, while we enjoyed the delicious food, we also collected many toys for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. Pictures from the event are below. In this edition, we also announce a new contract win and the winners of our recruiting contest, which resulted in two employees heading to Florida for rest and relaxation. Several team members attended the I/ITSEC conference in Orlando, while others hosted another week-long training conference for the Veterans Affairs in Dallas, which was a great success. The DAI team wishes you a happy and safe holiday season with best wishes for 2011! |

Celebrating and Giving
On December 15, DAI held our annual potluck luncheon. This year's theme was "Traditions." In addition to colleagues showing off their culinary talents, it was the final day for our toy collection drive in support of the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. This is the seventh year DAI has collected gifts for the program, and it was a huge success!

The Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract allows the Accenture Team to serve as a strategic advisor to DIA's executive leadership in support of key DIA human capital initiatives. DAI will provide a wide range of expertise in areas such as project/program management, workforce analytics, senior executive support, DCIPS, career development and learning support. |
| Recruiting Contest Winners Announced! |
Congratulations to Dana Wilcox and Gia Morgan! Dana and Gia are the lucky winners of our recent recruiting contest. We called it the "Number One is Laying in the Sun" contest and the enticing prize was a trip to Marriott's Ocean Pointe Resort in Palm Beach, Florida! Between October 1 and December 1, DAI employees all became recruiters, spreading the word about job opportunities through word-of-mouth, joining organizations and utilizing social media tools. Congrats to the winners and many thanks for the enthusiastic participation of the DAI team!

Another Successful VA Training Conference
The first-ever VA-wide financial management training conference, held in August in San Francisco, was so well-received that attendees were enthusiastic for another similar event. DAI, partnered with SRA, set about organizing, promoting and executing a high-quality training conference at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas for approximately 1,300 attendees. Attendees were thrilled with the course content, level of instruction, customer service and overall learning experience. The next financial management training conference is scheduled for March 2011 in Nashville, Tennessee. |
