DAI
hosted an open house for prospective candidates on October 28. The DAI team invited job seekers who had applied for positions online to visit the office, meet team members, enjoy refreshments and interview on-site. Above, DAI employees prep for the successful event.

DAI Supports Carpenter's Food Drive

DAI employees got together to support the Carpenter's Shelter with its Thanksgiving Food Drive. Each year, many struggling families look to Carpenter's, an organization dedicated to eliminating homelessness, for help with the holidays. Their residential shelter serves a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal and also distributes items to those who have gone through shelter programs in the past to assist them with preparing meals for their families. Carpenter's Shelter relies entirely on donations from the local community to provide this needed assistance.

President's Corner Dr. Sheri Dougherty, President and CEO of DAI

Welcome to the November edition!
The entire team at DAI wishes you an enjoyable and safe Thanksgiving holiday. In the spirit of the holiday, we focus this month on some of the efforts DAI has undertaken in giving back to the community. We continue our support of charitable organizations with recent contributions to Patrons of the Hearts in Florida, assistance to a local shelter with its food drive and even a Cub Scout popcorn drive supporting our troops! We also had an exciting career open house in October that was both a fun event and a successful recruiting effort. Please enjoy this edition and remember you can always view previous issues through

DAI Supports Patrons of the Hearts

In October 2010, DAI President Dr. Sheri Dougherty attended the annual fundraiser for Patrons of the Hearts in JacPatrons of the Heartsksonville, FL. This non-profit organization brings children with congenital heart disease from underdeveloped countries to Jacksonville's Wolfson Children's Hospital for treatment and surgery. Donations supported Dr. Jose Ettedgui, pediatric cardiologist and chief of the University of Florida Jacksonville Division of Pediatric Cardiology, and will help pay costs associated with travel, surgery and post-operative treatment. DAI looks forward to continued involvement with this five-year-old organization that has brought 40 children from 17 countries to Jacksonville for life-saving surgery.

Cub Scout Pie Throw
Nicholas Jones launches a direct pie-in-the-face hit at his pack leader
Nicholas Jones, son of DAI Business Development Executive Aaron
Jones, took part in the National Cub Scout Popcorn Drive. Thanks to contributions made by DAI employees, Nicholas, a member of Pack 1892, Den 2 had over $300 in popcorn sales, and $100 of that will go towards sending popcorn to our troops serving in combat overseas. Any scout that had $200 or more in sales also got the opportunity to throw a pie in the face of the pack leader, and Nicholas enthusiastically participated in this part of the program!
