In addition to other news updates, we'll spotlight an employee who recently raised money for a number of causes. I am also thrilled to announce DAI's inclusion in Inc. magazine's 500/5000 list of fastest-growing companies in America! Please read below to learn more about these exciting developments. DAI Organizes Successful VA Training Conference
In August, more than 1400 VA finance and accounting employees came together in San Francisco to take advantage of an impressive array of training. The courses were part of the first-ever VA-wide financial management training conference, designed to advance employees' careers and encourage professional development. Partnered with SRA, DAI was instrumental in every aspect of the event planning, from finding a suitable location to creating a communications campaign promoting the training opportunities to facilitating registration and ensuring the conference went off without a hitch. We know it was a huge success, as conference participants rated it a 4.8 on a scale of 1 to 5! The DAI team was dedicated to putting together a high-quality training conference, and attendees were thrilled with the course content, level of instruction, customer service and overall learning experience. |

Within the last three weeks, she has competed on a team in the Nation's Triathlon, benefitting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and raised money for two conservation groups by biking from Pittsburgh to Washington, D.C.
In the triathlon, Lissah was the swimmer on her team, completing a 1.5k swim in the Potomac River and finishing in the top 15 percent of all swimmers in the race! Her team finished 16th out of 56 teams in the coed division. The entire event raised over $3 million for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Lissah's self-contained bike ride took her through the heart of Pennsylvania on The Great Allegheny Passage trail which runs from Pittsburgh to Cumberland, Md., where it connects to the C&O Canal Towpath. The C&O took her all the way into DC, where she arrived after six days and over 330 miles! The trip raised money for the Allegheny Trail Alliance and the C&O Canal Trust, both dedicated to the conservation and upkeep of the trails and surrounding areas.
The entire DAI team congratulates Lissah for her great effort! |
