I hope everyone has had a chance to visit our brand-new PTA website: www.chesterbrookPTA.org -- note the extra PTA in the address. Our PTA email addresses have also had to change and add the PTA. So, for example, president@chesterbrook.org has changed to president@chesterbrookpta.org. The old addresses will still work, but we are hoping to transition quickly to the news ones (and avoid having to pay for the old ones). Again a big thanks to Dana Renz for getting us all set up and to Julie Hay for her work on it too!
You can use the site to purchase Fun Fair products, register for Summer Quest and Before- and After-School Activities, purchase School Kits and PTA Memberships in the summer and fall, and make Friends contributions any time. You need only add something to your cart to begin. While you have the option of creating an account, we haven't required it because we are using it for Summer Quest registration which includes non-Chesterbrook kids (we hope!). It does, however, make it easier to help you with orders if you create and account and become an official customer.
We did not put the directory online at this point, as the site is not password-protected. We are still figuring out how we will do the directory for next year. At this point you can still access it from our old website. We welcome your feedback on the site at webmaster@chesterbrookpta.org.
The Fun Fair committee sent out a few flyers in yesterday's Thursday envelopes. Please review them and see how you can participate (Bake Sale, Balloon Raffle, Cake Walk, Class Basket Raffle, Teacher Raffle, Ticket/Wristband sales). More information is below too.
Hope you're enjoying the warm weather...before winter returns next week!

Get Ready for Fun Fair
Fun Fair is rapidly approaching on March 12, and the committee has been working hard on a new and updated Fair. We have new games, new food (Subway sandwiches, in addition to pizza), new little kid area with its own moonbounce, new vendor area, and the biggest change: all-you-can-play-all-day wristbands (limited for Cake Walk and Pick-a-Pocket wins). Please go online at our new website and order your wristbands/tickets right away! All-day wristbands are presale only, and presale tickets come with a few free extras! So order now!
Room Parents should have already asked for volunteers based on the number of kids in each class and how many have already committed to helping elsewhere for Fun Fair. It takes 6-8 volunteers per class to run the games, food, prizes, and ticket sales, over and above our many committee members. Please remember that many parents in your class have volunteered to be committee chairs or have other responsibilities for Fun Fair--don't assume the same people are always available. This is a great opportunity to meet other parents and your kids' friends! Since it's on a weekend, it's a time when working moms and dads can volunteer at school as well.

Other Fun Fair Donation Opportunities
The Balloon Raffle is dependent on collecting a number of gift cards. This year, in addition to sending in gift cards of $5 to $25 value, you can also donate online and the committee will select the gift cards for you. Visit our new website to donate.
You can also now donate cakes for the Cake Walk online...and also on our new website...see a trend here? Of course, you can still send in a check using the form from the Thursday envelope.
What you cannot do on our new website is make something for the Bake Sale, so please do that at home (or you can buy something). Baked goods should be packaged for sale. Suggested items by grade are:
- K and 1st -- Cookies, brownies, bars
- 2nd and 3rd -- Cakes, cupcakes, candies
- 4th and 5th -- Breads, pies, pastries
- 6th -- Bakers' choice
