School Transportation FAQs
Your School Bus? Click HERE To Read Frequently Asked Questions From FCPS Transportation Services.

Parents may want to speak with their children about "What if" scenarios.  For example, what should the child do if the parent isn't home or at the bus stop in the afternoon; or, what should the child do if he or she gets on the wrong bus.  (The answer to this "what if" is in the FAQs.)

NoteatBottomThe Morning PTA Phone Call
Yesterday, it came to my attention that many parents were not aware of tonight's Movie Night.  I decided a few weeks ago that we would not send home a paper flyer promoting this FREE Family Fun Event, and to rely on the emailed Chronicle to get the word out. You may have noticed fewer PTA flyers in the Thursday envelopes.
[For those of you who read the Chronicle and Friday Digest from top to bottom, sorry about the redundant communication and disturbing your busy morning routine.]
My purpose in sending the Phonevite message before the kids left for school this morning was so that uninformed families could plan ahead for this evening.  I also wanted to test the Phonevite system because it will be a means for contacting families in the event of an unplanned mid-day school dismissal.
Note that I did not use the Phonevite message to tout a fundraising event, but rather a FREE Family Fun Event and a charity collection.
Look for a paper flyer from me next week about our PTA communications strategy.
I know that several families received more than one email and phone call this morning.  This is because they have multiple email addresses and phone numbers on file.  Please send me an email if you want me to remove or change the phone numbers and email addresses in the Phonevite phone book.  Be specific, because I do not have names associated with the data.
Thanks for understanding.
