WDCAR RPAC Announces Primary Candidate Endorsements

The Washington, DC Association of REALTORS® Political Action Committee (WDCAR PAC) today announced its official candidate endorsements for the Washington, DC Mayoral and Council primary elections on Tuesday, September 14.

The WDCAR Political Action Committee endorses the election of:

- Vincent Gray for Mayor
- Kwame Brown for Council Chair
- David Catania for At-Large Councilmember (Independent)
- Phil Mendelson for At-Large Councilmember
- Harry "Tommy" Thomas, Jr. for Ward 5 Councilmember
- Tommy Wells for Ward 6 Councilmember

WDCAR PAC endorsed after face-to-face interviews with candidates, a review of candidate's answers to questionnaires, and extensive discussions of issues, including the District budget, education reform, vacant property, real estate taxes, and the Real Estate Guaranty Fund, among others.

"It is an important election for the future of the District and the neighborhood communities we serve daily," Elizabeth Blakeslee of the WDCAR PAC said. "We believe our REALTOR® -endorsed candidates will work to retain a vibrant real estate market, improve our already great neighborhoods, and move the District forward."

The Washington DC Association of REALTORS® (WDCAR) is a state-level association representing nearly 2,500 residential and commercial REALTORS® who are licensed in the District of Columbia.
