Iyar: Counting the Omer, and Counting Down to Camp

Every night since the 2nd night of Pesach, we have been 'counting the Omer', marking the period of seven weeks leading up to the moment when we renew our covenant with God at Mt. Sinai (Shavuot).  Here at Ramah in the Rockies, we are counting for another reason as well...with growing excitement, as we approach the realization of the dream of bringing Ramah camping to Colorado.

On June 16th the dream of bringing Ramah camping to Colorado becomes a reality!  We will welcome the first of our over 100 campers who will walk through our doors for an transformational summer of personal challenge, physical growth and spiritual development.

Even if you are not attending camp this summer as a chalutz (pioneer aka camper) we hope that you can join us in May for a volunteer day or on June 13th for our Grand Opening Celebration!

Horses at RRThe Hineini Campaign

To build a site in the Rocky Mountains where young Jews can strengthen their connection to the Jewish people (even a rustic site), we need to raise $2 million by end of year 2011.

The money will be used for site improvements, organizational development and scholarship.   There are many naming opportunities at different giving levels. Whatever you can do, please stand up and say, "Hineini", "Here I Am". Contact Tammy Dollinor click hereto donate.
