Travelers Awarded $420 Million in Asbestos Case

 

According to Insurance Journal, "A New York appellate court affirmed a $420.4 million ruling in favor of insurer The Travelers Companies, handing it a victory in one of the longest-running and most complex asbestos-related litigations in history."

According to Businessinsurance.com and statements from multiple reinsurance carriers, the losses from the Costa Concordia Cruise ship disaster could top $1Billion. Hanover Re announced that there losses could be in the mid-double-digit, million euro range.
