Reverse Mortgages - The next big problem?

Be very careful if you're considering a Reverse Mortgage.  I like that these are available as a tool in the toolbox, but Reverse Mortgages are usually the very last thing to consider, and definitely not without a lot of thought and consideration.  This article talks about how the Reverse Mortgage industry could have some problems in the future.


America's Ridiculously Large $14T Economy

I don't think most people understand how large the  US economy is, particularly in relationship to the rest of the world.  The New York metro area GDP is greater than India, and Los Angeles is about the same as the entire country of Turkey.  Detroit, with all it's problems, still has a GDP a little more than Israel! 



How to handle Beneficiary Designations

Estate Planning is very important, no matter your age or family situation.  The most common problem I've seen is the lack of attention to Beneficiary Designations.  I highly recommend you go to your accounts right now (or ask me to help you!) and make sure your beneficiaries are up to date and what you want.  Your heirs will thank you.
