| Difficult Choices
In my opinion, this is probably one of the best articles written recently talking about the very, very difficult choices we as a country have before us. It talks very seriously about the the landscape before us. Put on your thinking cap before reading the article, but if you read just one article I recommend this whole year, this is it.
Convergence - Consensus Building
In order to move forward in some of the tough decisions before us, a new way of thinking is required (in my humble opinion). I liked this article by Stephen Covey and Robert Fersh and the work they're doing. I'll be investigating it further and will keep you posted as the year progresses.
FDIC Running out of Cash
Okay, I know I'm a broken record, but the banking crisis is NOT over. The FDIC will be running out of money shortly and without an influx from Congress, there's more hurt coming down the pipeline.

What Mike Does on Weekends
I volunteered to be a big brother in the Big Broth
er/Big Sister program about a year ago. I really like it! I have a little brother who is 13 and si
mply a great kid. We fix stuff, go hiking, visit museums, etc. Tons of fun.
Anyway, the Denver chapter did a promotional video a few weeks back and I'm in it with my little brother. Check it out, and if you inspired to see if you'd like to volunteer too, please let me know and I'll make it happen.
