Keeping Your Mind & Your Eyesight! As all of you know I am a big advocate of aerobic exercise. It turns out this is more important than you can imagine. New research shows that moderate physical activity performed in midlife or later appears to be associated with a reduced risk of mental impairment -- and a six-month high-intensity aerobic exercise program can improve mental function in individuals who already have mental disfunction!
Each year, 10 percent to 15 percent of individuals with early mental impairment will develop dementia, as compared with 1 percent to 2 percent of the general population.
Physical exercise may likely protect against mental impairment by means of the production of nerve-protecting compounds, greater blood flow to the brain, improved development and survival of neurons and the decreased risk of heart and blood vessel diseases. In our 30 + years of clinical research we have reversed Macular Degeneration with a combination of Diet, Exercise and Natural Supplements. Guess what? Your eye is a part of your brain! The new research on keeping your mind is no surprise to us at all! This is why Dr Ross developed DRI (digital retina imaging). It is designed to let us predict those most at risk for mind / body disease (strokes, heart attacks, macular degeneration and lots more) and even let us monitor their success in treatment.
